Good Fences Thursday, Hawaii

Linking to Good Fences at The RunARound Report.

This was taken on Hawaii at the Volcano National Park.  Right after this shot the Rangers shut the Park due to high levels of fumes making it dangerous to visitors and personnel.  You can see the steams escaping from the fumaroles along the side of the caldera wall.  (That's Lee's hand in the corner....I cropped him out per his request).

  2. Well, I would have like to see Lee looking at the scene, but I understand how shy and reserved he is... ;)

    Lovely photo, Karen!

  3. It was a bit windy on the mountaintop, so his hair looked a little wonky, so he asked me to crop him out. He has trouble keeping his hair in line :)

  10. Yes we Did get in under the wire. Luckily we took this picture before walking up to the Visitor's Center, or we wouldn't have seen this much of the volcano.
