I'm so excited about this bag because it's the made from recycled fabric I found from an old 80s dress that I picked up at Goodwill for it's lace trim. I decided to keep the fabric for trim 'cause I thought it was so neat.
It's a faux ruching that stretches quite a bit, so I stabilized it before sewing with iron-on tricot, then lined the bag with white spandex which I stabilized as well. I found the best way to sew the two bags together was by hand so I could hide the stitching on the outside bag. It was a little time-consuming, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Hand stitching can be so satisfying when the results are so pretty.
Well, Spring is finally here, at long last. It's great to see it....this past winter seemed to drag on and on. I think it's time to celebrate with a little stroll around the park today. Ciao for now....
